The original African Bush Backpackers concept was aimed at backpackers. But not just your run-of-the-mill backpackers accommodation – clean, comfortable accommodation with loads of extras that you wouldn’t usually expect to find at a backpackers. We were overwhelmed by the response we got from guests around the world.
Then, we noticed that we were also attracting many couples wanting to just escape for an affordable luxury bush escape. So, we expanded and diversified to give you exactly what you want and need! We remodelled our existing en-suite bedrooms to cater specifically for couples on a luxury bush adventure – hence the birth of “African Bush Adventurers”. These rooms are private, beautifully decorated and have everything you need for a memorable time away with your favourite person.
The new backpackers accommodation boasts smaller rooms for more privacy in delightful African bush-cottage-style facilities with lovely leisure and dining areas, beautiful pool, and in addition to the indoor showers, you can also shower under the sparkling night sky in our optional outdoor showers.

Types of accommodation
Lion room
This room sleeps 2 guests in a king-sized bed with mosquito netting. The en-suite bathroom (shower, basin, and toilet). This room also has a small fridge, internet access in addition to USB sockets & air-conditioning.
Leopard room
This room has a double bed sleeping 2 people, shower, air conditioning, internet, USB sockets and outside patio.
Buffalo room
This room sleeps a maximum of 2 people and has a kingsize bed with mosquito netting. It has air conditioning, a small fridge, USB sockets, internet access, and the en-suite comprised of a shower, basin and toilet, communal outdoor patio, lounge and boma.
Rhino room
This room sleeps 2 people in a king-size bed with mosquito netting. It has air conditioning, a small fridge, lounge nook, USB sockets, internet access, and the en-suite comprised of a shower, basin and toilet.
Elephant room
This room sleeps 2 guests in a king-sized bed with mosquito netting. The en-suite bathroom (shower, basin, and toilet). This room also has a small fridge, internet access in addition to USB sockets & air-conditioning.
Hippo dorm
The Hippo dorm room is a mixed dorm room with 4 single beds. Each bed has it's own mosquito net and reading lamp. USB charging ports are available and in addition to WiFi, the room is air-conditioned and has 12v back-up lights.
Genet dorm
The Genet mixed dorm room sleeps 2 guests in 2 single beds. Each bed has a mosquito net and a reading light. USB charging ports and WiFi are available and the room is air-conditioned. This room also has 12v back-up lights.
Cheetah dorm
The Cheetah mixed dorm room sleeps 2 guests in 2 single beds. Each bed has a mosquito net and a reading light. USB charging ports and WiFi are available and the room is air-conditioned. This room also has 12v back-up lights.
